Cow Hill Yacht Club wishes to thank our friends Clare Ray and Pat Paquette, retiring owners of Spectators Sports Bar & Grill, for their support and many favors over the past years. Whether hosting our annual meeting, helping to produce our annual Chili Cook Off, or a myriad of other contributions, Pat and Clare were always there to help. We wish them all the best as they move on from running their premier sports bar.
We also wish to thank these sponsors for their generous donations to support this year’s Chili Cook Off: The BARge, Saugatuck Collision, Taylor True Value Rental, Bowdies Chop House, The What Not Inn and Wicks Park Bar & Grill. And special thanks to our long-time sponsor Paul Hix, financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments.

COW HILL YACHT CLUB ANNOUNCES FUNDING FOR SCA YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Saugatuck Center for the Arts (SCA) is pleased to announce a grant from the Cow Hill Yacht Club in support of the SCA’s cost-free programming for 1st - 12th graders. Cow Hill Yacht Club gifted $2,500 to help underwrite in-school, after-school, and outreach programs benefiting local young people. “We are delighted to partner with the SCA to help provide important programming for our local students,” said Cow Hill Yacht Club Commodore Mike Applegate. “An important focus of our mission is supporting young people. We know the SCA has long-time relationships with our local schools, so this is a great opportunity for us to work together to keep programs free of charge for students.” SCA Executive Director Kristin Armstrong said,” we understand the power of art as a component of mental well being and are committed to making sure everyone in our communities – most especially children – has access to creative experiences. Keeping our programming cost-free for Saugatuck + Douglas schools and our local non-profit partners is crucial.” With creativity at its core, the SCA’s youth educational programming is a dynamic vehicle for developing healthy emotional and social skills; bolstering critical literacy skills (reading, writing, public speaking); introducing young people to creative career pathways; and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through conversation and action The Cow Hill Yacht Club is a non-profit organization focused on “lending a helping hand to those in need” in the Saugatuck and Douglas communities.
