​Cow Hill Yacht Club is a silly name for a group of friends who banded together for one common goal… to help the less fortunate in the Saugatuck/Douglas area communities.

Cow Hill Yacht Club grants SCA $2,500 for
youth programming
The Saugatuck Center for the Arts (SCA) is pleased to announce a grant from the Cow Hill Yacht Club in support of the SCA’s cost-free
programming for 1st - 12th graders.

​​Our club assists less fortunate local residents

We help individuals and families who are in need with no where to turn, and often too embarrassed to ask.

​We also support community needs on an ongoing basis

  • School Opening Project  - we provide bookbags, school supplies , underwear , clothes to local schools
  • Snack program for Douglas Elementary – we provide PTO with monies to help run their snack program
  • Thanksgiving Food Program – provide gift cards to families to buy food
  • Christmas Giving Project -  Provide wrapped gifts for 80+ recipients
  • Donation to The Veteran’s Annual Luncheon
  • Donation to The Interurban
  • Donation to Special Olympics

​Over the years without fanfare, we have provided...

  • Rent/House Payments
  • Utilities (Electric, Heat, Water)
  • Car Repairs
  • House repairs
  • Household needs – beds, mattresses, furniture etc.
  • Gas cards
  • Food Cards
  • Expenses of traveling for medical treatment
  • Help with Funeral/Cremation costs
  • Class Trips
  • Educational needs – computers, adaptive equipment
  • Backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need
  • Wrapped gifts to local children who would otherwise not have anything under the tree

Our members put the fun in doing good work 

Perhaps you have seen us strutting our stuff during the Fourth of July parade or the Whootville Parade. Other club gatherings have included a Derby Party, Bingo Nights, and Dessert Auctions.
